#14: I Walked The Road, Alone

I walked the road, alone.
The world left me all alone.
Friends come, friends go,
Who will ever say no?

Life is but a passing cloud,
No silver tint in the fog of doubt.
It passes as quick as the wind,
Before you wonder where you have been.

My friends they all lead varied lives,
Too far apart, where reality lies.
I trudge alone, in this desert stretch,
Wondering where the road leads next.

They said that no man is an island,
But why am I left in the forbidden state,
Where no ne truly is?
Am I to be blamed,
Or is there something else to it?

Oh my friends, friends I have met,
Have smiled,
Have laughed,
Have cried together.
Let us come together again,
And relive it all,
Forever.
